I signed up for the Free week trial of Anazon Prime and cancelled before the 7th day and was not charged. If you would have read the instructions and details you wouldn't have been charged and I've never seen any company give a two month free trial on anything. I'm signing up for Anazon Prime because its a great service, great movie/tv viewing and much cheaper than our local cable. Thank you Amazon for offering this great service!
Pays for itself with free 2day shipping on most amazon orders. Streaming movies and tv is a really nice bonus...got rid of netflix when they doubled their fees/charging for mailed DVDs seperate from streams...haven't looked back.

Amazon prime has free two day shipping on a ton of items, a student discount, and free instant videos. It is a great product for a very good price.
I bought a subscription 3 years ago and have never even considered canceling. Love the fast shipping, easy returns, and now streaming.
I'm not sure why so many people are complaining about . It's clearly stated when you sign up that you'll be on auto renewal, unless you select otherwise. If you don't like the service; you can cancel and get a full refund. If you don't want auto renewal, take 5 seconds and check the box stating that you don't want it.
As far as the service goes; if you purchase a lot of stuff on Amazon; it more than pays for itself in a very short period of time. Included with , is free 2 day delivery on all items sold directly from Amazon. I've found that quite often; I receive items in just 1 day, which is incredible. In addition, as a member of ; you get to view thousands of free videos from the instant video section of the website. You also get to borrow books at no charge from the Amazon Lending Library. In my opinion; there's absolutely nothing to dislike about Prime. As stated; if you're not satisfied; Amazon will give you a full refund. There's not another company in the world who treats their customers as well as Amazon does. is just one example of the outstanding service that this company offers its customers.
Don't listen to all the bad reviews... They are just NOT smart enough to know what exactly a subscription is... When you first subscribe, they will tell you that the membership will auto-renewal... Another example of a subscription is like Netflix! You get a free trial and later they will tell you that it will auto-renew the membership... So don't blame the services when the ignorance is coming from the customer.
I was a long time member, and from experience I can tell you that it's not the God Send they sell it as.
- You must take advantage of every aspect to get "full value"... i.e. discounted shipping, free prime videos, etc.
- The rules will change, and you will likely not know until after you depend on it... for instance they dropped the $3.99 overnight shipping and Saturday delivery and now charge MUCH more (unless it's something they can courier or is very light)
- The "Prime" products are, in theory, in their warehouse and thus more available, better handled, etc. In practices your mileage WILL vary. Don't depend on it always being that way when you need it.
- The customer support is no better, they treat "prime" members the same as non-prime members
- Enjoy it when it goes well, because it will frustrate you when it doesn't.
- If you have to refund the service, it may take a while to get your money back (it's doesn't credit as fast as it debits ;)
- The "prime" selection varies, often it's free offerings aren't all that great, and if you want to watch it, do it before they drop it, they tend to encourage you to queue up lots of stuff to watch, but by the time you get to it it's no longer free but available for a fee. (And, in theory, your not allowed to record them while they _are_ free).
That said, I canceled my membership after a particularly bad episode and told them I would not sign up again until they fixed it. They like prime members because it's "free" or "dependable" monies internally, so you can help remedy problems if you are a frequent or long standing member, but I doubt it would work as well if you are not a new or long term member.

I love buying complete series's of shows that family likes! I paid for all USED complete series of The Shield($119) the Wire($76) 24($125) The Unit($56) ETC... EVERYONE FROM 25-70% OFF full price and ALL in MINT condition! Most were still sealed in plastic n looked brand new n the ones that weren't in plastic had all papers inside like brand new DVDs & the DVDs had protective sleeves on them n absolutely NO SCRATCHES!!! My family orders everything from amazon(at least 3 orders a month) for past 4 years. Everything has been perfect except 1 time in beginning I ordered Darby O'Gill and Little People(great Disney movie) n I didn't pay attention n ordered the overseas version that doesn't play on U.S. version DVD players! Which was totally my fault n I learned from MY mistake!
